The hotel directory is intentionally scoped around properties identified through the research process as officially classified five-star hotels in Sri Lanka. A profile may show the recorded SLTDA registration or licence details when available.

Inclusion is not a ranking, award or statement that no other property can qualify. Classification and licensing records can change, which is why time-sensitive information should be checked through current official sources.

Location, accommodation, pools, wellness, family facilities, dining, events and transport are recorded as separate structured fields. This makes hotel and collection comparisons consistent and prevents a general marketing description from being treated as evidence for every feature.

Descriptive summaries are written to reflect supported property-specific information. The directory avoids inventing ratings, prices, availability or guest-review conclusions.

Confirmed Yes values may be displayed as features. A confirmed No value is shown only when its absence is genuinely useful to the comparison. Unknown means the detail was not confirmed and is normally omitted from the public hotel page.
